A dwarf tomato variety with large, two-colored, pineapple-type fruits. The fruits are large, flattened, and distinctly ribbed. They are yellow with a delicate skin, and when cut open, they are bright yellow with distinct red markings. The excellent flavor complements this exquisite variety. We highly recommend it!
Wherokowhai was selected and named by Richard Watson as part of the Dwarf Tomato Project. It was developed from the offspring of a cross between a “Dopey” selection and “Lucky Cross” created by Ray South and was released in 2014. It has potato-like leaves and, despite its dwarf habit, requires staking.
