The Slava (heirloom) variety is an exceptionally interesting Czech cultivar, valued by gardeners for its combination of earliness, productivity, and high resistance. The plant grows vigorously, reaching about 120–150 cm in height, and therefore requires staking and training to 1–2 stems. Its characteristic potato-leaf foliage gives it a distinctive appearance and sets it apart from many other early varieties. The time from transplanting seedlings to the first harvest is about 65 days, placing Slava among the early varieties and making it one of the fastest-maturing tomatoes in our collection.

The fruits are uniformly round, intensely red, and weigh up to 60 grams. They are distinguished by a very good, classic tomato flavor – a harmonious combination of sweetness and delicate acidity. Thanks to their size, they are perfect for salads and sandwiches, as well as for processing and canning. The plant sets fruit in abundant clusters, which, combined with its earliness, ensures heavy and consistent yields.

Of particular note is Slava’s above-average resistance to foliar diseases. In a season when many varieties succumbed to pathogen pressure very early, Slava maintained healthy foliage significantly longer, allowing growers to enjoy fruit when other plants already required intensive protection. This makes it an excellent choice for those who expect reliability and stable yields even in difficult weather conditions.

Compared to other varieties available at Pomidorlandia, Slava stands out with its unique combination of traits. When compared to the popular Stupice, it matures just as early but produces slightly larger and more meaty fruits. In comparison with larger varieties that need more time to bear fruit, Slava offers faster and more stable harvests with a lower risk of losses caused by disease. It is a variety that combines intense flavor, a practical fruit size, and high resistance – a recommendation both for home gardens and professional cultivation.
