A Russian variety whose plant health we value in our own growing conditions. A very early variety; the fruits reach maturity 55 days after transplanting. The plants are dwarf, determinate, and do not exceed 60 cm in height. They are ideal for growing in a tunnel or greenhouse, as well as in much smaller spaces: on a balcony, in a backyard garden, or even in a planter. An excellent choice for tomatoes used in preserves and salads. Due to its qualities (high yield, hardiness, and compact size), it is a very good choice for beginner gardeners.
Another attractive feature is its unusual foliage: delicately lobed, almost carrot-like, with a silvery hue. This is what gives it its name, “Silvery Fir Tree,” meaning “silver fir.” Seed Savers Exchange added this variety to its catalog in 1995.
