The variety comes from the French island of Oleron, known for its specific microclimate, allowing the cultivation of vines and bananas. The history of this variety goes back several hundred years. Plants yield very profusely, fruit growing in clusters not larger than 3-4 cm, plum-shaped with a sweet and slightly pungent taste. A slightly harder peel allows the fruit to withstand transport well, making it perfect for commercial crops. The fruit ripens about 70 days after planting.
