A tomato variety with potato-like leaves and average yield. Beefsteak-type fruits, weighing an average of 250–450 grams, tender, with skin that is susceptible to damage. The flavor is distinctly tart with citrus notes. The flesh is intensely yellow, with very few seeds. The fruit reaches maturity about 95 days after transplanting. The plant is tall and requires staking or tying up.

The variety was preserved by Lillian Bruce of Tennessee. In 1988, Robert Richardson sent seeds to Craig LeHoullier, and later to Victory Seed Company as well. This is an example of an heirloom tomato whose future depended on the passing down of a handful of seeds. Fans of yellow slicing tomatoes may compare it to the ‘Limmony.’
