A tomato variety native to China, with very distinctive fruits. In China, this variety is called Huan U. The fruits weigh no more than 90 grams; they are bright yellow with distinct green streaks that fade as the fruit ripens. In the final stage of ripening, the green stripes disappear completely, leaving only the bright yellow color. The skin is quite thick, which makes the tomatoes highly resistant to cracking and well-suited for transport. The fruit reaches maturity approximately 75 days after planting.
Violet Jasper has similar decorative stripes, but on a darker background. Both varieties look great served together in a salad.
