The seeds of this variety were brought to the United States from Yalta in the Ukraine by one of the volunteers of the Peace Corps. Red fruits are not too big, do not exceed the weight of 150 grams and a length of about 8 cm. The distinguishing feature of this heirloom variety is unusual shape of the fruit: a pear. Excellent, sweet flavor. Fruits reach maturity after about 80 days after planting.
