Name of this variety was given after the gardener - Fred Limbaugh from Robinson (USA). Thanks to his efforts, and his father and grandfather, the very old variety has survived unchanged to this day. Gardener was very keen on that to everyone to try this unique tomato variety, which his family has been handed down from father to son for generations. So began the popularization campaign by sending its seeds free of charge to all interested persons, asking only - by the end of the season to send him some seeds back so that action can be continued. The action originally consisted only in Western Pennsylvania, but later expanded to the entire United States and many other countries. One year received back more than 140,000 seeds! The plants of this variety have a potato leaves. The plant bears fruit abundantly. Fruits may weigh 500-800 grams, are slightly flattened and have a slightly ribbed shoulders. Maturity is reached after about 75-80 days. They are very fleshy, with a unique sweet flavor with a slightly fruity note and a distinctive hint of old varieties of tomatoes. They are perfect for sandwiches, salads and other dishes. This heirloom variety in the eyes of many gardeners is recognized as one of the best on the market.
