Watering Accuracy
Also known as: even watering
The regularity of watering is much more important than the amount of water provided in a single application. Sudden changes in soil moisture promote fruit cracking, dry tip rot, and nutrient uptake disorders. Tomatoes grow best when soil moisture remains as stable as possible. Water should moisten the entire root zone, and before the next watering, check the moisture level not just at the soil surface.
