Stable (open-pollinated) variety
An open-pollinated variety (OP) is a variety whose offspring, grown from its own seeds, retain the characteristics of the parent plant. Unlike F1 hybrids, it can be propagated through successive generations without losing its characteristic traits, provided that varietal purity is maintained.
