Fertilizer application rate
A fertilizer application rate is the amount of nutrients supplied to a plant or the soil over a specific period of time. It should be adjusted according to the tomato’s growth stage, the type of fertilizer, and the fertility of the soil. Both a deficiency and an excess of fertilizer can lead to growth disorders, reduced fruit quality, and increased susceptibility to disease. Regular fertilization with smaller doses works much better than a single application of a large amount of fertilizer.
