Crop Yield

Crop yield is defined by the quantity and quality of the harvest obtained from a specific area or number of plants. It depends on the variety’s potential, environmental conditions, and cultivation practices. High yield does not always mean the highest fruit quality. To compare seasons or varieties, it is helpful to record the weight of the harvest per plant or per area, as well as the number of fruits rejected due to defects.
