Soilless cultivation

Soilless cultivation involves growing tomatoes without using natural soil. The roots can develop in growing media such as coconut fiber, mineral wool, or perlite, or directly in a nutrient solution. The nutrient solution is the primary source of nutrients, but the properties of the growing medium affect the availability of water, air, and certain ions. This method allows for very precise control of fertilization and irrigation. Beginners should use a proven nutrient solution formula for tomatoes and regularly monitor its pH and EC, as well as the moisture and aeration of the root zone.
