Potassium (K)
Potassium is one of the most important macronutrients in tomato nutrition. It is responsible for water management, sugar transport, fruit firmness, and the plant’s response to stress. It is needed throughout the entire growth period, and its importance increases during intensive fruit development and when the plant is under heavy stress. However, the demand does not suddenly increase only during ripening; therefore, fertilization should be adjusted to the growth stage and soil fertility.
