Macronutrients

Macrominerals are elements that tomatoes need in large quantities for proper growth and yield. These include nitrogen (N), phosphorus (P), potassium (K), calcium (Ca), magnesium (Mg), and sulfur (S). In addition to these, the plant utilizes carbon, hydrogen, and oxygen, obtained mainly from the air and water. Both a deficiency and an excess of minerals lead to growth disorders, which is why their proper proportions are just as important as their quantity.
