Natural pollination

Natural pollination of tomatoes most often occurs through the vibration of flowers caused by the wind or insects, especially bumblebees. Since the tomato is a self-pollinating plant, it generally does not require the presence of another variety to set fruit. However, in tunnels, a lack of air movement can limit the effectiveness of pollination. Regular ventilation and gently shaking the open clusters in dry weather can help.
