Mixing Varieties

Variety mixing involves growing many different tomato varieties simultaneously in a single plot. It allows for greater crop diversity, but when collecting your own seeds, it increases the risk of errors and occasional cross-pollination. Labeling plants and keeping records help prevent seed mix-ups, while maintaining complete varietal purity also requires isolating selected flowers.
