Humidity Control

Moisture control involves maintaining the proper amount of water in both the soil and the air. Excessive moisture promotes the development of many diseases, while a deficiency leads to water stress and impaired nutrient uptake. Stable soil moisture is particularly important during fruit growth and ripening. Soil moisture should be checked in the root zone, and in the greenhouse, monitor the hygrometer, water condensation, and the rate at which leaves dry out, and ventilate accordingly.
