Evapotranspiration

Evapotranspiration refers to the total loss of water, including both evaporation from the soil surface and transpiration through the leaves. This parameter is commonly used in planning irrigation for commercial crops. The rate of evapotranspiration depends, among other factors, on temperature, sunlight, air humidity, and wind speed. The higher the evapotranspiration, the greater the tomatoes’ water requirement. On hot, sunny, and windy days, check the moisture level of the root zone more frequently and adjust watering based on its actual condition, rather than following a fixed schedule.
