Disease Control

Disease control encompasses all measures aimed at reducing the presence of pathogens. It consists of prevention, plant monitoring, proper agricultural practices, biological methods, and—when necessary—chemical plant protection products. Preventing diseases yields the best results, rather than controlling them after they occur. It is important to inspect plants regularly, including the undersides of the leaves, and to identify any problems and remove potential sources of infection before treating them.
