A wonderful tomato for stuffing. First of all, it’s huge—many fruits are 10–15 cm in diameter. When cut open, they reveal hollow spaces and thick side walls. Now all you have to do is scoop out the seed cavity, fill the center with your favorite stuffing, sprinkle with cheese, and pop it in the oven! This is our king of stuffed tomatoes—Orange Accordion. The fruits ripen about 75 days after transplanting. It’s a tall plant that requires staking. Perfect for creative chefs!
The deep folds do indeed resemble a stretched-out accordion. For stuffing and baking, it’s worth comparing this variety to “Pink Accordion”—a similarly striking, but pink, tomato.
