One of the earliest and highest-yielding varieties of green tomatoes. A real treat for all fans of this color. Like most green tomatoes, its flavor is dominated by sweetness. The skin is very delicate. Fruit weight ranges from 230 to 300 grams. Potato-type leaves. The variety originates from Australia. The fruit reaches maturity in about 68 days after transplanting. The plant is tall and requires staking or tying up.
David Lockwood of Australia discovered this green-fruited variety in 2005 among cultivated “Paul Robeson” plants. Subsequent generations were selected for their potato-like leaves. Its name reflects this unexpected discovery.
