A variety originating in the United States that is very rarely found in stores. It has been cultivated since the 1950s by the Spear family of Tennessee. The fruit is exceptionally sweet, not very large (250–300 grams), uniform within the cluster and on the plant, with a delicate, blemish-free skin. The fruit reaches maturity about 80 days after transplanting. The plant grows tall and requires staking or tying up.
The green flesh remains green even after ripening. When harvesting, it is best to go by not only the color but also the slight softening of the fruit and its aroma.
