The Giant Orange Strawberry—just like the orange Oxheart. The exceptionally tasty fruits of this tomato variety have very firm flesh with very few seeds. This tomato is slightly smaller than its pink counterpart, weighing between 0.3 and 0.5 kg. It has a slightly thicker skin and much firmer flesh (more dry matter). Very tasty and aromatic. The plants are tall and sturdy; staking is necessary. Because of its compact growth habit and sparse foliage, it is suitable for training on two main stems.
In the literature, you may also find it referred to as “Orange Strawberry.” Victory Seed Company, citing Carolyn Male, notes that the term “German” was added by sellers and does not constitute proof of German origin. The name “Strawberry” refers to the shape of the fruit.
