Supplementary Lighting

Supplemental lighting for seedlings is used during periods of low light, primarily in winter and early spring. Proper lighting prevents seedlings from becoming leggy, improves their growth habit, and accelerates their development. Currently, energy-efficient LED lamps with a spectrum tailored to the plants’ needs are most commonly used. The lamp should be set up according to the manufacturer’s instructions, and its height or operating time should be adjusted if the seedlings become leggy or their leaves turn pale.
