Substrate
The growing medium is the environment in which the tomato’s root system develops. It can consist of soil, coconut coir, mineral wool, peat, perlite, or other materials used in soilless cultivation. A good growing medium should provide an adequate supply of air, water, and nutrients. For seedlings, use a fresh, well-draining growing medium; lightly moisten it before sowing and ensure the container has drainage.
