Rotary Tiller

A rotary tiller is a device used to loosen and mix the soil before planting. It makes it easier to prepare the planting site for tomatoes and to mix organic fertilizers into the soil. However, using a rotary tiller too frequently or too deeply can degrade soil structure and limit the growth of beneficial organisms. In a well-maintained garden, shallow soil aeration is often sufficient.
