Quilting

Pricking out is the process of transplanting young seedlings from a shared container into individual pots or cells with more space for the roots. It is usually done after the first true leaves appear, before the plants become too crowded. Lift the seedling by the leaf or the root ball, not by the delicate stem, and take care to damage the roots as little as possible. After transplanting, the plants require consistent moisture and good light.
