Physiological drought

Physiological drought occurs when water is present in the soil but the plant cannot absorb it. This may be caused by soil temperatures that are too low, high salinity, or damage to the root system. The symptoms resemble classic water deficiency despite moist soil. In such cases, you should not automatically increase watering; first, check the temperature, salinity, and condition of the roots.
