Microclimate

A microclimate refers to the local environmental conditions immediately surrounding plants. It includes temperature, air humidity, air movement, and light levels. In plastic tunnels, the microclimate can differ significantly from outdoor conditions. Properly managing it has a huge impact on plant health and yield. Temperature and humidity should be measured at plant height, and any excess should be reduced through ventilation, proper spacing, and watering at the soil surface.
