Iodine (I) in Fertilization

Iodine is a trace element whose role in tomato cultivation has not yet been fully understood. Research indicates that small amounts may affect plant metabolism and increase the iodine content in the fruit; however, it is not considered an essential nutrient. Excess iodine can be toxic, so it should be used with great caution and based on proven recommendations.
