Inflorescence

An inflorescence is a cluster of flowers arranged along a common axis and its branches; in horticulture, it is called a cluster. Botanically, the tomato inflorescence is a corymb and can be either simple or branched. The number of flowers is a varietal trait, but pollination and growing conditions also influence subsequent fruit set.
