Fungicide

Also known as: fungicide

A fungicide is a product designed to control diseases caused by fungi and, depending on the active ingredient, also by certain fungus-like organisms. Not every fungicide is effective against oomycetes, such as Phytophthora infestans, and the appropriate application timing depends on the specific product and disease. In tomato cultivation, only products with a current registration for the specific growing location and identified pest may be used. The product must be applied in accordance with the label, observing the dosage, application timing, pre-harvest interval, and safety guidelines. Fungicides are not a substitute for preventive measures and proper agricultural practices.
