Fruit Rot

Also known as: fruit rot

Fruit rot is a process of tissue decomposition most commonly caused by bacteria or fungi. Mechanical damage, skin cracks, and high humidity contribute to the development of the disease. Infected fruit quickly loses its market value and can become a source of further infections. Regular harvesting and careful handling of the fruit significantly reduce the risk of rot.
