Fruit weight

Fruit weight is one of the primary characteristics that distinguish tomato varieties. It depends primarily on the variety’s genetics, but is also influenced by growing conditions, the number of fruits per plant, and the availability of water and nutrients. Cherry tomato varieties typically weigh from a few to several dozen grams, while the largest varieties can exceed 1 kilogram per fruit.
