Calyx cup
Also known as: fruit calyx
The calyx cup is the part of the flower that remains attached to the fruit’s stalk after pollination. It is formed by the calyx lobes surrounding the upper part of the tomato. Its size and shape are varietal characteristics that are often used to identify varieties.
