Botrytis (gray mold)

Gray mold is a disease caused by the fungus Botrytis cinerea. It attacks leaves, stems, flowers, and fruit, causing a characteristic gray, powdery coating. The pathogen readily exploits any mechanical damage caused during plant care. High humidity and poor ventilation promote the disease. To reduce the risk of infection, it is best to remove leaves in the morning so that the wounds have time to dry before nightfall, and to ventilate the tunnel regularly.
