Surprising? Captivating? Beautiful? Different? These and many other adjectives perfectly describe this unique variety. The first thing that immediately catches your eye is the size of the clusters—each cluster contains between 50 and over 100 flowers, which, once pollinated, turn into beautiful, golden cherry tomatoes. The enormous clusters are eye-catching, and the sweet flavor is a delight to the palate. A variety highly recommended in every respect. The fruits are small, not exceeding 1 centimeter in diameter. The plant is tall, with regular leaves, and requires staking. The fruits ripen relatively early.
The “Blondkopfchen” seeds reached the Seed Savers Exchange from a gene bank in Gatersleben in the former East Germany. This variety’s continued dissemination is linked to the conservation and exchange of crop resources.
