Carmello is a very high-yielding variety with round, red fruits that reach 200–250 g in our region. They have a wonderful aroma, a skin resistant to cracking, and tolerate shipping well.
The collections also include the open-pollinated “Carmello” line, developed through the work of Gary Ibsen at TomatoFest. The plant grows tall, has regular leaves, and requires staking. With a sufficiently long growing season, we can also harvest fruit from the seventh and subsequent clusters.
