Nancy Shriver’s family in Pennsylvania has been preserving this variety ever since her father received the seeds in 1916. Chuck Wyatt introduced it to the Seed Savers Yearbook in 1998. The fruit is dark pinkish-red with a balanced sweet-and-sour flavor. The fruit weighs up to 400 grams and ripens about 85 days after being transplanted in the ground. The plant grows tall, requires staking, has regular leaves, and produces a bountiful harvest.
