A highly recommended variety. These tall plants produce an abundant crop of beautiful, dark pink-purple, very tasty, and super-sweet, medium-sized beefsteak-type fruits. The fruits vary in the arrangement and size of their indigo-colored spots and stripes, with the amount of sunlight the fruits receive playing a significant role. The variety is not yet fully stabilized.
Siberian Tiger originates from a cross between ‘Beauty King’ and ‘OSU Blue’ performed by Mark McCaslin of Frogsleap Farm in Minnesota. This is an American breeding program; the name and skin pattern do not indicate a Siberian origin.
