The Red Boar variety is a unique tomato bred by Brad Gates of Wild Boar Farms. It is a mutation derived from the popular Green Zebra Heirloom variety. Red Boar is characterized by medium-sized, round fruits weighing between 60 and 120 grams. The fruits have a distinct red color with intense yellow-green stripes, giving them an exceptionally attractive appearance. The skin is thicker than that of other varieties, making the fruits resistant to cracking.

In terms of flavor, the “Red Boar ” variety is highly prized—its sweet and slightly tart taste makes it the perfect tomato for salads and fresh consumption. The plants are indeterminate, meaning they grow tall and require staking. “Red Boar ” is a high-yielding variety, and the fruits ripen about 70–75 days after transplanting.

The decorative fruits look great both on a salad platter and at a produce stand.
