The fruit is very similar to our favorite Opalka, but definitely larger and longer. The long horn-shaped fruits are red in color and reach a length of 15 cm and a diameter of up to 5 cm. Very fleshy, perfect for sauces and cooking. Fleshy fruit, practically devoid of seeds and seed chambers. The fruits reach maturity about 85 days after planting. High-growing plant, requires staking or tying. A variety also found under the names Horn of the Andes, Andes, Andine Cornue, Poivron des Andes, Cornue des Andes.
