These oxheart-shaped fruits, with their intense pink color, contain very fleshy, reddish-pink pulp. They have an excellent, full flavor and aroma with distinct tomato notes. The fruits are not very large, generally not exceeding 250 grams. Perfect for sandwiches, salads, and preserves. The fruits reach maturity about 85 days after transplanting. The plant grows tall and requires staking or tying up.
The Italian “cuore di bue” means “ox heart”—a name well-suited to the fruit’s shape. In our collection, this is a pink variety of a convenient size. For lovers of larger, red hearts, we also recommend “Cuore Antico Di Acqui Therme.”
