Burrakers Favourite has large, two-colored fruits that weigh between 500 g and even a kilogram here. The thin skin can be prone to damage, so it’s best to harvest and handle them gently. The fleshy slices are great for sandwiches and salads, and larger harvests can be used for preserves.
In our garden, it is a tall plant with a thick stem and potato-leaf foliage. It requires staking or tying up, and the fruit ripens about 85 days after transplanting.
