A tall-growing tomato variety with regular leaves. The exceptionally colorful fruits are very large—depending on how they’re trained, they can weigh 400–900 grams—and have thin skin; they are very fleshy and contain few seeds. The flesh is exceptionally tasty and aromatic, with a well-balanced blend of sweetness and acidity. Drought-tolerant. An excellent tomato for sandwiches and colorful salads.
A yellow background with red mottling appears on both the skin and the flesh. The “Texas Star” variety is best served in thick slices that reveal its two-tone interior.
