Indigo Rose” variety. Importantly, this variety is not yet fully stabilized, which means that at the end of the season, you should collect seeds from the tomatoes whose characteristics you prefer and replant them to reinforce those traits for the next season. As a result, there may be some differences between the variety described here and what you see in your own garden. The fruit reaches maturity approximately 80 days after being transplanted into the ground.
This variety was released by Double Helix Farms in 2013. Even at the time of its release, attention was drawn to the need for further selection of pink fruits with dark shoulders. The variability we observe is therefore an important part of this line’s history.
