Indigo Blue Beauty is a new heirloom bred from Indigo Rose variety. Tall and strong plants generate large amounts of fruit. Fruits are large, weighing from 200 up to 300 grams, have soft clearly dark skin and deep red flesh. As in the case of other varieties of Indigo, the intensity of the black color on fruit depends on the exposure to direct sunlight. The more sun, the fruits will be darker. Therefore it is recommended to use a greater spacing for planting and preventive screening of plant (removing old leaves). The maturity of the fruit is defined based on the intensity of the red color. Fruits reach maturity after about 80 days after planting into the ground.
