Russian Rose has pink-raspberry-colored fruit and a juicy, fleshy interior. The slightly flattened tomatoes, which weigh about 330–380 g according to our description, are easy to slice into large pieces. Their sweet, full-bodied flavor pairs well with sandwiches, salads, and when served with olive oil and fresh herbs.
In seed collections, this variety is associated with Novorossiysk on the Black Sea. The fleshy fruits show their best qualities in simple dishes that allow their flavor to shine.
The plant grows tall and requires staking or training on a string. It matures mid-season, approximately 75–80 days after transplanting the seedlings. For lovers of similar pink beefsteak tomatoes, we also recommend Lilac Giant.
