A variation named after the vocalist Boxcar Willie from the American radio show Grand Ole Opry, who is actually named Lecil Travis Martin. The Grand Ole Opry is the most important country radio broadcast in the world and has been broadcasting every Saturday from Nashville, continuously since November 28, 1925. The plant has regular leaves, is tall and very strong. It produces profusely fruit weighing from 280 to 450 grams. The fruits are red in color and are perfect for sandwiches, sauces, salads, juices and preserves. They have a very rich aroma and excellent taste, and are resistant to cracking. The variety is more resistant to diseases. The fruits reach maturity after about 70 days after planting.
